Ruptured Poster

Baby Driver Poster

There are many reasons I love the poster for Baby Driver. All the colors go really well together and the layout is perfect. All the characters are also well represented in terms of their significance in the movie. Also, the painted texture gives the poster an "Old Hollywood" feeling. The poster overall looks like a great piece of art that I want to hang on my wall.

Ruptured: Plot Summary

Plot: It all starts with a nosebleed. Soon your ears are wet with blood. Not long after your whole face is bleeding. By the time that happens you're a goner.  When the town of Sugar Hill, New Hampshire experiences a plague of unexplained deaths it is up to Sheriff Addis to save his town from drowning in its own blood. At first, he deems these events nothing more than a coincidence, but when his own daughter starts losing blood Charlie Addis realizes that there is something far stranger afoot. It is a race against time for this newly appointed sheriff to close the case before the only family he has left is dead. During his investigation, he comes across an observant waitress whose customers are dwindling by the day, a suspiciously skeptical deputy, and a woodland kook who lives on the outskirts of town near a classified factory. The waitress, named Darla, notices that even though more and more trucks are passing through town, she is serving fewer and fewer customers. Charlie&

Dustin Stanton Interview

In his recent interview, graphic designer Dustin Stanton gave a lot of insight into what it takes to design an effective movie poster. He essentially says that the designer must boil the film down to the feelings it incites in its audience, and create an image that conveys those feelings in an inticing matter. Designing a movie poster is ultimately the process of serving two, sometimes contradictory, interests. The commercial advertising interests of the studio and the creative interests of the director and their film.      Stanton also emphasizes the importance of working with other artists. Working with other creatives ensures that a designer's work is always questioned on how it could be better until its the best it can be. Stanton also shared how he battles mediocre ideas. He simply gets inspired by others work and does so until his ideas form and then he makes those ideas the best they can be.

Montygog Interview

There is a lot of insight that can be gained from what Montygog said during this interview. One of the main points that he makes is that it is important to develop your own style when it comes to design. Most of Montygog's art is inspired by other properties and artists, but he ultimately makes his work his own. He not only places emphasis on new artists discovering their style, but he also says that the best way to achieve success in the design world is to just start creating. Not just creating in a vacuum but also getting your work out there and recognized. Montygog doesn't give much detail on his creative process but does say that he mostly uses Adobe Illustrator. It is comforting to know that an artist with so much success uses tools that are widely accessible to anyone who feels compelled to create.
